We are very excited that Harbury Carnival is returning after being cancelled the last two years. As you may be aware, Harbury Pre-School will be entering a float around the theme of Superworm and his friends.

If you are able to attend, children are normally expected to meet on Sutcliffe Drive in Harbury at around lunchtime for a procession around the village ending in Harbury Park early afternoon (times tbc). Children will be seated on the float but due to numbers, it is unlikely that there will be room for parents or siblings.

Parents/carers will be responsible for their own children and can walk alongside the float as the children ride through the village.

The children have been very busy painting and drawing pictures of minibeasts to decorate the float and children are invited to dress up as minibeasts. Suggested ideas - brown worm, spiders, ants, butterflies, bees, grasshoppers, ladybirds etc. The costumes do not need to be anything fancy; wearing all black could represent an ant, green for a grasshopper etc. If you need any ideas or support with this, please speak to a member of staff.

As always we need parent support. There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes. We are in need of:

- Support decorating the float (Tues 7th June, Wed 8th June, Thurs 9th June or Fri 10th June)

- Support with the BBQ (Set up 9-11am, BBQ 11am-1pm, Clean up 1-3pm)
